Even after announcing the grant, the government kept delaying its implementation. So Jagdale Sir led a series of regional agitations from 1 to 15 June 2016. Because of this sustained fight, the government had to publish the official list on 9 July 2016, and 9,628 schools and divisions received the 20% grant for the first time.
