Office-bearers from Kolhapur and Sangli districts toured Atpadi taluka to campaign for Shri. Khanderao Jagdale (Sir), candidate from the Pune Division Teachers' Constituency and state vice-president of the organisation.
The first meeting was with Shri. Amarsinh Deshmukh (Bapusaheb), head of the Atpadi Education Society and former Zilla Parishad president. District secretary Pramod Patil described Sir's 25-year struggle and his barefoot work in the movement. Bapusaheb read the campaign leaflet and discussed the election and education issues for about 40 minutes.
Next was Shri. Raosaheb Patil, president of the Jay Bhavani Education Society, with an in-depth half-hour discussion on compulsory TET, Pavitra portal recruitment, non-salary grants, student quality and the burden of non-academic work on teachers. Both dignitaries gave their blessings to Jagdale Sir.
