On 5 September, thousands of teachers took to the streets of Kolhapur together for their rightful old pension. It was a silent march from Dasara Chowk to the Collector's office, but the teachers' resolve was clear.
The fight is especially for teachers and staff appointed before 1 November 2005 whose schools reached 100% grants only after 2005, leaving them without the old pension. Old appointment, old service, so the old pension too!
